Okay , this is the following series of How to Fix an Error Laptop Touchpad:There are 2 Solution Laptop Touchpad is not working , this tutorial case study I've ever tried windows 7, I think, it have same settings in windows 8, although not yet been tried .

  • The first way :
Maybe it has a simple error that the "Tap to Click" button is not checked. For more details see this following picture:

Image icon touchpad settings are different in each specific laptop brand . like the example shown below :Fixing Laptop Touchpad

  • Second way :
if the touchpad settings are correct ( active / on ) in the default touchpad and touchpad software still can not work normally again , then doing the second troubleshooting:
namely: remove driver mouse / touchpad from Device Manager by doing step 2 as follows :
1. go to control panel - > system - > device manager .
2. look for the mice and other pointing device - > click on the symbol next to delete the named driver Synaptic PS/2 Port Touchpad with the way drivers navigate the mouse pointer TSB - > right click - > select delete .
after delete the driver, restart your laptop so your driver can re-install automatically when your laptop is rebooting.
Well, I hope the 2 solutions above you was able to repair the laptop touchpad settings that do not want to click or has a problem, if the problem still persists, I just can recommend to re-install the touchpad driver . Some errors may occur again in the hardware.
